"Status Harry?"
"Primary systems are down, including weapons and propulsion."
"B'Elanna's modification worked better than we expected."
"Captain, our sensors show that the Trans Warp Coil is in perfect working order. I don't think it was us that stopped them."
Janeway exchanged a puzzled glance with her first officer. "Open a channel. Kalthiak, this is Captain Janeway. I believe you have something that belongs to us."
"No response Ma'am."
"Can you get a lock on Seven and the emitter?"
"They're not on the ship Captain."
"Transporter room to the bridge."
"Go ahead B'Elanna."
"Captain, Seven and the emitter are here. I'm taking Seven to sickbay."
"Acknowledged." Turning to her first officer Janeway raised her eyebrows.
"Your guess is as good as mine Captain."
"Captain, we have an incoming transmission."
"On screen."
"Captain Janeway, I...am sorry."
Looking at the woman in front of her Janeway was shocked to see the agony and grief that was etched in that face. Kathryn's voice betrayed her bewilderment. "Yes, I'm sorry too, Kalthiak. If you had been more honest with us perhaps we could have helped you."
"Perhaps."
"Captain, she's powering up."
Rising from her chair Janeway nodded to Ensign Kim. "Let her go Harry. Tom, resume our course for The Alpha Quadrant. Chakotay, you have the bridge."
