Disclaimer: I haven't stolen Seven and B'Elanna from Paramount. yet. Until I do I have to acknowledge they are not mine. Still, so Paramount doesn't worry I am not making any money off this. As a last note this is a lesbian romance, and if you have something against that you better not read any further.

Summary: B'Elanna gets Seven some flowers.
A hiss of pain slipped past B'Elanna's lips ..........
29 Jan 2001
A hiss of pain slipped past B'Elanna's lips. "This is NOT how I wanted you to see the flowers." Seven smiled as she worked. "Still, I believe it is that "thought that counts." B'Elanna Torres laughed as she rested her head on her hands as she laid on her stomach on her bed. Sitting next to the bed Seven worked over the area exposed when B'Elanna had pulled her uniform trousers and panties down over her hips. In her enhanced hand she held a set of tweezers while in the other she had a petri dish, both items she had brought with when the pair had quickly left the lab the B'Elanna had called her to promising a "surprise". "I still wish you would let me take you to sickbay."
B'Elanna's head raised up from where they rested on her forearms. "No way, not happening." Seven arched her brow as she removed another of the miniature thorns from her girlfriend's derriere. "The Emergency Medical Hologram has seen you naked before." B'Elanna had allowed her head to rest back down to her arms, but brought it back up. "Yes, he has, but Tom is on duty now too." The normally emotionless features of Seven of Nine darkened as she thought of Lieutenant Thomas Eugene Paris. It was difficult enough to think of the unworthy individual ever being intimate with B'Elanna Torres, but now that their romantic affiliation had ended it was unacceptable to her. B'Elanna then looked over her shoulder and grinned. "Besides, you're doing just fine." She then laid her head back down.
"I still don't get what went wrong. They shouldn't have had any thorns." Seven allowed herself a slight smirk, but was glad B'Elanna was not able to see it from her position. "Your initial genetic resequencing had removed the rose's thorns, but when you altered it's color it simply made them smaller, and more abundant." B'Elanna laughed as she hissed as another thorn was removed. ""It's your fault you know?" B'Elanna had looked over her shoulder as she spoke so she was able to see the arch of Seven's brow. "I mean it. It's those eyes of yours. I don't know how the Doctor managed to catch the tone so well. It took me HOURS to get the rose the right color." Seven smiled shyly at that as B'Elanna smiled back, and then rested her head back down again.
"Perhaps you should have consulted Ensign Wildman?" B'Elanna's shoulders rolled and it was obviously a prone version of a shrug. "Yeah, but then she would have told me not to sandwich them between myself and the wall and I wouldn't have dropped them when they pricked my hand which dropped them on my butt, and then you we wouldn't be having this tender moment." Seven put the dish down on the bed and ran her human hand over the areas of B'Elanna's behind the were free of the thorns that required Seven to use her Borg enhanced vision to find and her enhanced hand's delicate control to remove. "We could still have had a tender moment, but I could be touching you for other reasons." The soft tone of Seven's voice and the softer touch made B'Elanna shiver.
Seven then picked the dish back up and got back to work pulling out the thorns, but as she worked she noticed how quiet B'Elanna had gotten. "B'Elanna?" The other woman's voice was so soft Seven could barely hear it from where B'Elanna's head met her hands. "I." B'Elanna sighed. "I just wanted it to be a surprise." She then grinned ruefully. "Not this kind of a surprise either." Seven leaned down and kissed the small of B'Elanna's back. "It is special, but because of the productivity you put into the project. The end result is simply a manifestation of that." B'Elanna looked up again and arched her brow. "Borg romance?" Seven arched her brow back. "Yes." B'Elanna and Seven shared a smile as she lay her head down and actually sighed happily. Though it was spoiled a second later as she yelped as one of the thorns was removed.
THE END
